Westfield Blue drops one to White

Westfield Blue started out strong and sharp this morning against the
Westfield White team, but the momentum shifted mid-game and the Blue
players just couldn’t swing it back. The gray skies lingered throughout
the late morning game, which ended with the Blue team on the deficit
side of an 11-2 final score.


Justin Lin pitched two remarkable first innings, retiring the White’s
first six batters without a problem. But once the White bats got going,
it was a challenge for Blue to keep it close. Tyler Roth, Rowan
Oberman and Owen Murray provided some excitement in the batters box for
Westfield Blue, combining for the two runs posted for Westfield Blue.
JD Marner and Cameron Bremer both performed well on the mound in
relief of Justin Lin. But overall, it was one of those games where a
short write-up will suffice…and so it is. I leave a great deal more space for our Sunday victories….go Blue!
